The Cloud Standards Customer Council is an end user advocacy group dedicated to accelerating cloud’s successful adoption, and drilling down into the standards, security and interoperability issues surrounding the transition to the cloud. During this session Richard Mark Soley, Ph.D., will outline the Council’s efforts to establish a core set of client–driven requirements to ensure cloud users have the same freedom of choice, flexibility, and openness they have with traditional IT environments. He will discuss how the group will work to lower the barriers for widespread adoption of Cloud Computing by helping to prioritize key Interoperability issues.   

Attendees will learn how:

  • To get involved and make their voices heard in the cloud computing conversation
  • The current state of cloud standards impacts companies moving to cloud computing
  • The Cloud Standards Customer Council will address interoperability issues
  • Sharing experiences with other users for cloud implementation best practices will benefit their organization
