The U.S. Office of Management and Budget has directed government agencies to take a “Cloud First” approach as they evolve their IT infrastructures.   Future funding of enterprise computing programs may be tied to their ability to embrace this new computing paradigm.  While most government organizations are actively seeking ways to save costs, they also must continue to provide more flexible, accessible, and secure systems and networks for their users.  When it comes to the cloud, the number one concern remains -- how to trust multi-tenant computing environments.  This is your opportunity to understand what early adopters have learned, the kinds of security challenges they have encountered, and the threat landscape for the next wave of cloud applications.

Attendees will learn how:

  • To expand their understanding of the emerging standards for cloud security.
  • What is hype and what is real about secure operations in the cloud.
  • Can government IT professionals decide which applications may be most suitable for migration to the cloud.
  • To consider all aspects of cloud security, from governance, to service-provider oversight, to disaster recovery and more.
