The U.S. Army is proceeding to implement a cloud-based e-mail system to provide trusted, online communications among its 1.6 million service and civilian personnel. The enterprise-wide systems will be managed by the Defense Information Systems Agency and is the largest deployment of its kind in the U.S. Government to date. The intent of this worldwide implementation is to eliminate individual mail servers currently installed at locations around the globe and to enable continuous monitoring and improved security for the service-wide application. As the U.S. Army marches into 2012, the new mail system is expected to be in place. Join this session to learn the details of this cloud-based migration program and the anticipated savings from those who are responsible for its design, operation, and success.
