As the Federal Government seeks innovative applications of technology to make daily IT operations more efficient, the U.S. Office of Management and Budget has directed that agencies take a “Cloud First” posture where hosted environments can be leveraged over additional capital investments in data centers and traditional information management approaches. Few topics have attracted the hype and debate that cloud computing has had for the past 18 months in the Federal IT community, and much of the discourse has been centered on how to implement trusted cloud environments for the scale and type of information the government collects, uses, and shares.
Join this discussion for an overview of how secure multi-tenant environments can and are being deployed within and across the Federal Government, the emerging standards for cloud security, and why one size does not fit all applications. This is your opportunity to understand in detail what early adopters have learned, the kinds of security challenges they have encountered, and the forecast for the next wave of public, private, and hybrid cloud applications for the public sector.
