Beyond the hype and the theoretical, what is it like to implement cloud-based systems and services within a Federal agency? This session will present case examples from those who have done it and have experienced the changes driven by this new computing paradigm—from process, to organizational culture, to IT requirements, support, and performance measurement.  This is your opportunity to learn from public sector colleagues how the identified cloud initiatives, marshaled the executive support and funding to proceed, and lessons from the implementation frontline.

Attendees will learn how:

  • To set realistic expectations inside the organization before moving to cloud-based services
  • Cloud models offer agencies flexibility to meet changing demand for computing capabilities
  • To identify and address implementation challenges, including data migration and legacy systems integration
  • Agencies are taking different approaches to monitor service providers to ensure data and applications are stored, accessed, and secured in accordance with service agreements
